Environmental Safety and Protective Measures

Healthy and Safe Workplace Environment

The Company is committed to providing a safe and secure working environment for its employees and complies with all applicable environmental safety and occupational health regulations. To safeguard employees’ health and safety, the following measures have been implemented to ensure a safe working environment and personal safety.

  • 1. ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 / CNS 45001 Environmental, Safety and Health Management System:
    The Company has established an environmental and occupational safety and health management system to systematically manage and evaluate environmental, safety and health performance and effectiveness, continuously improve environmental protection and workplace safety, and ensure the safety and health of employees.
  • 2. Identification and Risk Assessment of Environmental Aspects and Hazards:
    The Company identifies environmental aspects and various types of hazards arising from its activities, products and services, assesses the risks of significant environmental aspects and hazards, determines priority action levels, and implements control measures for unacceptable environmental, safety and health risks, so as to facilitate the planning, management and implementation of environmental and occupational safety and health management.
  • 3. Chemical Hazard Labeling and Emergency Response:
    The Company implements a standardized chemical hazard labeling system in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Hazard information is clearly indicated during operations, and contingency measures can be promptly taken in the event of a chemical leak to prevent hazards, accidents, and their escalation.
  • 4. Waste Resource Recovery and Management:
    The Company has established a resource recovery and related management mechanism for business waste generated during operations, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, to promote waste reduction, recycling, safe disposal, cost efficiency, and the improvement of environmental hygiene.
  • 5. Emergency Response Preparedness and Training:
    The Company enhances employees’ emergency response capabilities by establishing appropriate response procedures to ensure personnel safety and the continuity of operations, with the aim of minimizing losses resulting from accidents and emergencies.
  • 6. Fire Safety Equipment Inspection and Maintenance:
    The Company conducts regular inspections and maintenance of fire safety equipment to reduce potential losses in the event of a disaster and to protect the personal safety of employees.
  • 7. Safety and Health Code of Practice:
    The Company has established a Safety and Health Code of Practice to prevent occupational hazards, safeguard employees’ safety and health, ensure normal workplace operations, and support the achievement of sustainable business operations.
  • 8. Safety and Health Organization and Professional Training:
    The Company has appointed Safety and Health Officers to plan and promote environmental safety and occupational health policies and management systems, and to monitor the effectiveness of their implementation.
    In addition, the Company provides training for occupational safety and health professionals, including occupational safety and health managers, occupational safety management specialists, occupational health management specialists, occupational safety and health personnel, first aiders, and fire prevention managers, in order to strengthen workplace environmental safety and health management and maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
  • 9. Employee Health Examinations:
    The Company conducts regular annual health checkups for employees to safeguard and maintain their safety and health.
  • 10. Operating Environment Monitoring and Improvement:
    The Company regularly conducts operating environment tests twice a year to assess employees’ actual working conditions and exposure levels, measure physical and chemical environmental factors, and improve the working environment based on test results to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • 11. Regular, Key, and Operational Inspections:
    In accordance with self-inspection management procedures, the Company conducts regular inspections, key inspections, and operational checkpoints to identify potential workplace hazards, prevent accidents and disasters, and protect company property as well as employees’ occupational safety.
  • 12. On-site Safety and Hygiene Inspections:
    The Company conducts regular and unscheduled on-site inspections of plant safety and hygiene to identify and eliminate actual or potential hazards and risks.
